Revenu de Solidarité Active (R.S.A.)

This financial support is intended to provide people without resources with a minimum level of income which varies according to the composition of the household concerned.

The R.S.A. is open, under certain conditions, to people aged at least 25 and to young workers aged 18 to 24 if they are single parents or have a certain length of professional activity.

Note: Certain categories of people are automatically excluded from the R.S.A.:
– Students
– People on parental leave (total or partial)
– People on sabbatical leave
– People on unpaid leave.

However, single pregnant women and single parents can also benefit from the R.S.A.

Obtaining the R.S.A. depends on:

- Your age
- Your nationality, i.e. a person of French nationality, foreigners from the European Union with a residence permit or non-EU foreigners residing regularly in the territory for at least 5 years.
- Your place of residence
- Your resources. All of your household income is taken into account in the calculation for your right to R.S.A.

Exclusion of these services in the calculation of the R.S.A. include:

- Disability Compensation Benefit (P.C.H.)
- Daily Caregiver Allowance (A.J.P.A.)
- Compensation received by the family caregiver for the elderly or disabled under the P.C.H.

Make Note!

The bill for the revaluation of 4% of the R.S.A. was adopted by the National Assembly and the Senate on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

The entry into force of this law should arrive in the next few days and thus the basic amount of the R.S.A. should increase from €575.52 to €598.54.
